Shayla Nicole Ramos is a lifelong resident of Weslaco, TX. Ms. Ramos attended Weslaco High School and is a member of its 2015 class. While attending the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley, Ms. Ramos was employed full-time as an Administrative Assistant for The Hidalgo County District Attorney’s Office under elected Criminal District Attorney Ricardo Rodriguez, Jr. She is a mother of two sons, Marcos Adriel, and Mikaél Ángel Ortiz.
In 2020, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology. In May 2021, Ms. Ramos decided it was time to further her experience in the legal field. She then began to work at The Law Offices of Ezequiel Reyna Jr. as a Litigation Paralegal while being six months pregnant with her 2nd son. After some time there, she decided to take a break to be a stay-at-home mom and enjoy her time with her children.
In March 2022, she returned to the legal workforce and began working as a Personal Injury case manager at The Leah Wise Law Firm, PLLC. As a Personal Injury case manager, Ms. Ramos's primary goal was guiding clients throughout their cases. She ensured that she assisted in recovering the cost of their medical treatment, lost wages, and long-term needs and that they received maximum compensation for their injuries.
